A match has 10 waves and up to 10 players. Everyone starts at 0. The highest score at the end takes first place.
In the General Room, the game looks for players, then counts down from 5. The match starts at 0. In a private room, the host presses Start, then the same 5-second countdown plays. Private matches do not change Elo.
Elo moves only in a General Room, and only when at least two signed-in players are in the match. Guests play fully, but their Elo does not change.
Blocks fall with a calculation on them. You have 10 seconds to tap the one with the highest result. If several blocks share that highest result, each of them counts.
The answers grow with the match: about 10 on wave 1, about 20 on wave 2, up to about 100 on wave 10. Early waves use addition and subtraction. The expressions get longer, and waves 9 and 10 bring in multiplication.
The wave ends as soon as every player has chosen, or when the 10 seconds run out. The results are shown, then the next wave starts. If you do not tap a block, that wave gives you 0 and your streak resets.
Each block is worth its result. A block that equals 40 is worth 40 points before any bonus.
Tap the highest block and you also earn a time bonus and a streak bonus. Tap a lower block and you only receive that block’s result: no time bonus, no streak bonus, and your streak returns to 0.
A green number above your score means the highest block. A red number means a lower one. Under the block, a clock shows the time bonus and a flame shows the streak bonus, and only when that bonus is above 0.
The time bonus is a share of the block result. It uses the seconds still on the clock: 5% for each second left. It applies only to the highest block.
| Seconds left | Bonus |
|---|---|
| 10 | 50% of the result |
| 9 | 45% |
| 8 | 40% |
| 7 | 35% |
| 6 | 30% |
| 5 | 25% |
| 4 | 20% |
| 3 | 15% |
| 2 | 10% |
| 1 | 5% |
| 0 | No time bonus |
The bonus is rounded to a whole number: result × seconds left × 5, divided by 100.
A streak is the number of highest blocks you have chosen in a row. It goes up before the multiplier is applied, so your third correct block is already worth ×1.25. A lower block, or no tap at all, sets the streak back to 0.
| Correct in a row | Multiplier | Flame |
|---|---|---|
| 1–2 | ×1 | None |
| 3–4 | ×1.25 | Blue |
| 5–7 | ×1.5 | Yellow |
| 8 or more | ×2 | Red |
In the live ranking, that flame sits to the right of your score. Your points for a correct block are:
round( (result + time bonus) × streak multiplier )
The streak bonus is what the multiplier adds on top: total points, minus the result, minus the time bonus.
The best block equals 40. You tap it with 8 seconds left, and it is your 3rd correct block in a row.
Time bonus = round(40 × 8 × 5 / 100) = 16.
Streak multiplier = ×1.25.
Points = round( (40 + 16) × 1.25 ) = 70.
Streak bonus = 70 − 40 − 16 = 14.
The same block, tapped late or on a new streak, is worth less. A lower block worth 25 gives you 25 points and resets the streak, whatever the clock says.
